Are Tesla's engineers treated about the same as Space X's?

From what I recall talking with my friends who worked at SpaceX, the Tesla engineers were completely separate and kept to their corner of the campus. Honestly, considering how hard SpaceX works their employees (mandatory 12 hour days and Saturdays, and at least one Sunday a month), I'd hope Tesla isn't run the same way.

Yeaaaaa. And because so many space nerds are beating down the doors for an interview like shoppers on BlackFriday, the salary isn't even competitive, especially for the LA area.
